With a versatile career spanning across aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, and computer science, I've always been dedicated to exploration, innovation, and leadership in tech-based fields. My journey began in Brazil at UFSC, where I am nearing the completion of my Aerospace Engineering degree. During my time in college, I had the privilege of working on a project with NASA in 2017, an experience that instilled in me a profound dedication to high-level work.
While studying, I also had the chance to lead the propulsion sector of the Kosmos rocketry team, overcoming budget constraints through an AI project optimizing design parameters using PSO. As another notable achievement, I built a drone featuring an FPV system entirely on my own.
Intrigued by the potential of programming, I sought knowledge beyond my curriculum, learning from seasoned programmers at a startup incubator. This led me to pursue a complementary degree in Computer and Data Science in 2020. With the skills I acquired, I executed projects using Django, PySide, and MySQL.
The complexity and potential of data-driven decision making led me to a role at Artefact, a leading data consulting company. I spearheaded an ambitious project for a major American retail company, creating an AI optimization model for sales force allocation and scheduling across US territories. This model not only streamlined the company's operations but also increased efficiency and productivity. Additionally, I had a significant role in the development of internal software designed to optimize all of Artefact's processes, further honing my skills in software development and data management.
In 2022, my journey took me to Aachen, Germany, where I took up an internship at Fraunhofer IPT. As a HiWi, my research focuses on metal cutting tool wear assessment, using computer vision deep learning to predict tool life.
The opportunity to turn this research into a scalable solution emerged within Fraunhofer, and I embraced it. As co-founder and CTO of a new startup incubated by the organization, I am working to commercialize our project, now supported by our growing team and partners like Microsoft, Fraunhofer AHEAD, and RWTH Innovation. This venture marks the latest chapter in my mission to innovate, lead, and make a tangible impact in the field of technology.
